No Refund For Item Not As Described


I purchased an item on Ebay and once I received the item it was not as described by seller. When I emailed the seller and explained that the item was not as portrayed by seller and advised the seller that i wished to return the item because I did not want it, ebay took the position that I simply did not want the item therefore I was not entitled to a return/refund. Overlooking the reason that I wanted to return the item, ebay closed my customer protection case and therefore it is difficult to take additional action through ebay. What is my next course of action if any in an attempt to get buyer to except a refund.
