Self described "Tennessee redneck" and newly minted PayPal victim sent Screw-PayPal.com the following email (unedited by Screw-PayPal.com):

paypal just screwd me out of $14,420. with a bogus ebay seller in peru indiana. the seller was assetexpediters4u.com. i tried for weeks to get help from paypal, then i discovered i was not the only person to get screwed. THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR SITE....... THIS FIGHT ANT OVER YET, I MAY NEVER GET THE MONEY BACK, BUT MY GOAL NOW IS TO PASS YOUR SITE ON TO 14,240,000. MORE PEOPLE. THANKS TO YOU MY FIGHT HAS BEGAN. I HAVE SENT EMAILS AND MADE PHONE CALLS FOR TWO DAYS. I EMAILED HOWARD STERN. CALLED THE LOCAL POLICE IN THE SELLERS HOMETOWN. I HAVE PASTED YOUR WEBSITE ON EBAYS YAHOO MESSAGE BOARDS, ALSO I HAVE PASTED IT ON ALL THE TOP 100 MARKET CAP COMPANIES MESSAGE BOARDS. I AM SENDING MY STORY AND YOUR WEBSITE TO EVERY MEDIA SOURCE I CAN FIND . TV ,RADIO ,NEWSPAPERS, SMALL AND LARGE NATIONAL AND LOCAL. I AM A TENNESSEE REDNECK, AND I WILL FIGHT BACK. PLEASE ADVISE AS TO OTHER SOURCES OF PEOPLE I CAN SPREAD THE WORD TO. AND THANKS FOR THIS SITE.

Within minutes of receiving this email from Tennessee redneck Joe Bishop, he wrote Screw-PayPal.com back informing us that he placed an auction up at eBay.com in retaliation. The item number is 180157629270. If it is delisted before you get to it, we have captured the listing. You can view it HERE. Mr. Bishop continued by saying:

i have placed on craigs list also
sent it all to howard stern
also hitting wells fargo yahoo message board
i plan on 14,420,000 getting my message. THAT IS 1 PERSON FOR EVERY CENT 
THEY COST ME.

Joe in Memphis WINS. eBay/PayPal quickly bowed to the pressure and returned Joe's money to him. We received the following message from Joe:

just got home.
had telephone message from Michele at paypal she left this # to call 
402-938-3532 BUT the # she called from was 402-935-7733 all she said was she was 
returning my phone call i had left on her answer machine about my paypal 
account.. no further information was left.
i just checked my paypal account it had no information. i called and they 
say they have now refunded the $14,490.00 to my credit card as of today.
it has not posted to my credit card account yet.

A couple of days later , we got the following email from Joe:

As of this date, all money due me has been refunded and safely back in MY bank account. I can live without Ebay and Paypal. thanks to all those that supported me in my fight with paypal. to those that called me an idiot, oh well I GOT MY MONEY BACK only because i would not accept defeat. CONGRATULATIONS JOE! This man is a fine example of what needs to be done. Joe was wronged by a company. Instead of doing nothing, he fought back and he won. Regardless of WHY PayPal finally admitted their mistake and gave Joe his money back, I have to congratulate eBay/PayPal on doing the right thing in this case. However, let me ask you this eBay/PayPal: Why do people have to fight so hard just to get you guys to listen?

Why do people continue to use the paypal system? I have been against this on general principle for years and years. I am so pleased to see this web-site. businesses that offer paypal service, (including ebay sellers) seem cheap, shoddy and inappropriate. If nobody purchased anything from these vendors they do not deserve to be in business anyway, then the world would probably be a better place. "just say no to paypal" should be the mantra of the new internet ecommerce society. Do not patronize any businesses that only take paypal, and NEVER, EVER pay even a single dime to businesses that require that you use paypal and do not offer a conventional, non-pay-pal method of payment. Thanks to you guys for stating what I have been thinking for a long, long time.

I just ran across this web site as I was looking for Meg's email address, but since this about the idiots at PayPal, I wanted to let you know, in case you may not know, that I was in violation of eBay's policy when I noted in my Payment box that I DO NOT ACCEPT eChecks, and that they could thank PayPal for this one! PayPal charges the Seller more money, up to $5.00 when someone uses eChaeck as a form of payment. Of course no one would give me their scale of what "Up to" meant, meaning they do as they please no matter the transac! tion amount. So that $10.00 item not only cost you listing fees, final value fees, PayPal's .30 cents per transaction fee, but a possible $5.00 fee on top of that, leaving you with giving away your goods for free. I recently have started really searching for other auction sites to list on because the eBay and PayPal fees are killing me, I'm small time, a tiny fish to them and they could give a damn. It's a shame they have turned into money hungry, greedy corporate assholes, who craps on the little people trying to better their quality of life. They are no better than any Government run program i.e the SSA or the IRS in my eyes. I honestly feel they are going to fall from grace and I will be one of the happiest people on earth! Thank you!

"Your site has really helped me to solve my problem. I had a dispute with PayPal since 2005. They claimed that I owed them $869.00. Apparently I used my debit card and withdrew money that I did not have. How can you withdraw money from an ATM card that you do not have. I googled your website and looked up some of the PayPal phone numbers. I left a message for an upper management PayPal person to contact me. She contacted me and resolved my issue for $600.00 and reinstated my PayPal account. Although I do not like PayPal, I am glad that I don't have to duck and hide from PayPal ! in order to sell merchandise on eBay. Thank you for your wonderful site."
